Pravin Khandare has joined The Plan Consulting Group (TPCG) as Senior Vice President, where he will lead the Life Science vertical and serve as the Chief Consulting Officer. In his new role, Pravin will be responsible for the development and execution of service line offerings related to operations cost optimization. 

Pravin has a successful track record of building, transforming and leading procurement organizations for pharma, biotech, medical devices, consumer products, chemicals and industrial companies.

He brings proven capabilities in strategic procurement, category management, supplier relationship management, supplier-enabled innovation, environmental social governance, organizational operating models and operational excellence through procure-to-pay processes, enhanced compliance and controls and improved materials risk management.  He has a track record of strategy development and deployment related to business planning, procurement transformations, working capital improvement, environmental and social governance (ESG) program and supply risk management in regulated environments. 

Prior to joining TPCG, Pravin was a Managing Director at FTI and part of the Supply Chain practice where he led development of External Spend Excellence (EXSEL) offering focused on external spend optimization.  He led and supported several client projects across private equity, industrials, services providers, process industries and manufacturing clients. 

Previously, Pravin was Chief Procurement Officer at Biogen where he led global procurement Source-to-Pay (STP) transformation among other things to create significant value while building capabilities.  Pravin also held various senior leadership positions at Johnson & Johnson (pharmaceuticals and consumer companies) where he led organizations with a focus on improving performance and creating value in a regulated environment. 

As well, Pravin held leadership roles at professional services companies – Silver Oak Solutions/CGI and A.T. Kearney – helping clients in sourcing value creation, organizational improvements and optimization.  Pravin has authored several technical, non-technical articles, presented and participated in keynote speaking engagements at various conferences and forums.
