A GAP Analysis was performed to provide a “high-level” view of this selected business support services by conducting a cursory financial, operational and process review. The team identified the savings opportunities and efficiency gains that would result from a well planned and deployed business support services improvement plan. The intent was to review their technology, physical environment and company culture to support the development of what the costs should be to provide the back office services requirements. These elements are required to know what the specific “optimum” cost should be for the services being provided.
