Value Mapping is the essence of understanding the current steps, tools, and engagement in any activity. By integrating the objectives, resources & capabilities to a common and understood work process, service levels will improve and costs often will be reduced. This element of our practice focuses on understanding the current operations and outputs. This is compared to the desired performance and then a GAP analysis is performed. During the process the follow items are achieved:
- work tracks are define and evaluated
- tools are inventory and QC’ed
- roles and responsibilities are defined
- performance criteria is defined and baselines are established
- KPI’s are identified and information mapping is define
- Costs of success, failure and transformation are defined
- Organizational requirements are established
With this information defined, a transition work plan can be developed that will improve the process, engage the personnel, refine the tools and establish the ability to better manage the process to achieve the desired results.
