For over 20 years, Mr. Herold has been leading and motivating focused international teams to drive change and to optimize global manufacturing systems. While most recently serving as director of global advanced manufacturing engineering for Harman/Becker Automotive Systems, Mr. Herold also brings OEM engineering experience through his work with Toyota, Chrysler, GM, Mercedes, Hyundai, Ford and Mitsubishi. Mr. Herold also has worked in the energy transmission industry with power, wind and renewable energy companies in the area of transmission assurance and efficiency.   

At The Plan Consulting Group, Mr. Herold leads the company’s energy sustainability, advanced manufacturing activities, such as capacity planning, capital budgeting and implementation, product piloting, new product launch, environmental controls and footprint optimization.

Mr. Herold’s global experience includes the implementation of maintenance management systems, greenfield facility construction and expansion, industrial automation, and process and material convergence in North America, South America, Europe, and China.

Mr. Herold’s multi-faceted experiences allow him to lead strategic initiatives and the capability to drive the visions to implementation completion.  

Awards/Accomplishments:
Mr. Herold has been recognized for his achievements through various associations and appointments. He serves on the board of directors for North America Maintenance Excellence, the academic advisory panel for IVYTech, the Indiana State Technical Committee, the advisory panel for DataStream Software, Hemisphere Software, HSB Reliability Technologies and DPSI. Mr. Herold is also a certified plant engineer.
